Merrell Women's Waterproof Hiking Shoes - Lightweight Trail Running Sneakers for Outdoor Camping & Backpacking Adventures

I really liked this shoe. I wanted something lightweight similar to a sneaker but a little more durable for trails. The shoe is light and comfortable. The support around the ankle didn't rub the way some boots do because of the cut and softer material. I bought a pair of North Face sneaker/hiking boots and returned them because I liked the Merrells a lot more. They are fairly water resistant and breathable - but if you’re looking for waterproof, this shoe probably isn’t for you. The tread is good for trails but they are VERY slippery when wet. I like a lot of arch support, these had some but not as much as I typically like. The shoes were easy to break in. After a couple of wears they’re comfortable like a sneaker. They are heavier than a sneaker and a little more bulky but overall a lighter more comfortable “boot”. Colors are true to picture.I needed a comfortable waterproof shoe for fishing on our new boat and the usual boat deck boots were anything but comfortable and had absolutely no support. I researched and read reviews for days before deciding on Merrell’s Zion. I’ve never ordered this type of shoe online and was a little hesitant but with Amazon free returns I figured I had nothing to lose. I’m normally a women's 8D and I ordered a 8.5D. The fit is perfect and I’m surprised how comfortable they are without a break in period. I wore them yesterday for the first time for 8 hours and my feet felt fine when I took them off. No soreness or throbbing. Highly recommend them.Ordered an 11.5, but received an 11. They are slightly tight but going to keep them due to my past merrels stretching out a bit.Other then the wrong size, the shoes are great!Love them.. they’re comfortable, light weight and adorable!
