Nice shoeSo, after 2 days, 15 miles. Sandstone, mud, rocks and some wet.Great comfort. Seem like they'll last for the price.More like "water resistant" than "waterproof"If a cup of water was poured on them, it's fine.If one is hiking in wet that breaches the sole for a period of time. Not so much.Actual "waterproof" boots these days will run around $150. Knew they weren't really "waterproof"Got what I expected at least.Working out well so farGreat shoe. i tried Oboz first but had to return them. The Oboz toe box was too small and tight. Plus the Oboz were stiff and uncomfortable. Maybe they should put more Bozo in their Oboz and make them more flexible and have enough room to fit your feet?The Merrells are awesome. I am a bigger guy 275lbs, these are one of the best daily wear mid height hikers I have had. Definite 5 stars and would highly recommend!I have purchased other Merrells and because of the shape of my feet, always bought the "wide" verson. All have fit wonderfully except these. Even the wide version has a bit more narrow toe box. Also the heel is a bit higher and it moves the toe more forward in the shoe. I will keep them as I know they will stretch out and work fine... Just wanted to mention the more snug fit.Love the feel and the 'bounce' in my step. With a 10-1/2 W foot that's still splaying, these fit me very well. I don't much like tying my shoes (learned that when I was 6!), but I knew that going in. VERY Pleased with these - highly recommended.5 starsLeft shoe appears to be a defect, because the gel comes up higher at the heel than it should (isn’t entirely flat, has a bump in it). Disappointing, how hard can it be to quality assure a shoe with automation and machinery these days??I like the Mid height boot a lot. Gives me better ankle support over a regular hiker. Very comfortable. Merrell has excellent Arch support as well which is not available from a lot of hikers. Fit was perfect and was glad I went for the 10.5 wide. The Wide is not that wide so don't be afraid to try.
