I have wide feet and a high instep. I tried Wolverine, Keen, Columbia, and Timberland and none were wide enough. Finally- I found wide width to be wide with Merrell. No breaking in. I have to add arch supports per my podiatrist. He wanted me in hi-tops or boots for ankle support. The price is right on these. Every other boot I tried was over $120. Merrell is quality.I have Fred Flinstone feet and these are great. The other boots' wide width just wasn't wide enough.
