Yes, you can wear sneakers in winter! Our Elena insulated sneaker boot offers a little extra height and warmth for protection from the elements. Stay cozy while making a statement from midtown to mid-mountain. Made with durable leather and featuring a moisture-wicking lining, the Elena Mid Height Ankle Boot is built off KEEN’s traditional wider footwear form. KEEN products are consciously created using a natural, pesticide-free probiotic-based technology called Eco Anti-Odor for breaking down odor in sweat, PFC-free water repellent (in applicable styles) and leather sourced from Leather Working Group (LWG)-certified tanneries. KEEN makes shoes to make a difference. From the products it makes, to the actions the it takes, KEEN inspires people to live and work monumental every day. As a brand born for life outside, KEEN has a responsibility to protect and conserve the places where all people live, play and work.
I LOVE these!!! Durable, comfortable and cute as hell!!! I wear them everyday at work and any chance I get in the mountains too! My ankles took a minute to adjust to them (just rubbed on the skin a bit) but that could have been avoided by higher socks. They are warm enough for winter but I wear them year round. I may just get them in every color, best shoe purchase in a long time!!!!I have been a faithful KEEN wearer for the past 10 years. Since my feet are shaped just like a duck's, the large toe box was perfect! They worked very well with a custom orthotic. I saw these shoes and knew I had to have them. I ordered a size up because of the thick socks I wear. Imagine my surprise when they still felt small and tight. Where did my duck shoes go? I decided to give them a try anyway. They do not stretch much if at all. All that and I decided to keep them! I just wear a lighter sock. I can't help but love a cute shoe!I don't like that nothing on the outside breaks down, that's how durable they are. You only know when to replace them when you feel it on the inside .I haven't worn these boots outside of the house so have no idea of durability, hence the 4 stars. Keens are known for their wide forefoot without specifying a "wide width". As I have aged (62 y.o.) my forefoot (from ball of the foot to the tips of the toes) has widened and I find a "wide width" shoe is generally more comfortable. Keen has this hard wired! This boot looks something like a high-top Converse sneaker and offers support closer to a traditional hiking boot. This strikes me as somewhere in between the two; an urban hiking boot! They are fun and funky and looked cool with leggings.Super comfortable while worn an hour or so in the house to test. Came with two sets of wide, sneaker-like cotton laces one in medium brown to match the leather boot portion and one in maroon to match the plaid cuff. I glad I found these unique-looking boots and the comfort is typical Keen wonderful.I'm a true 6 (I also have narrow, high arched feet) and these fit perfectly in that size. Not sure they will be super warm for winter/hiking, but I mainly got them for a work setting, so they will be fine for that-they were super comfortable right out of the box, and haven't made my feet hurt at all. Bonus as they are very cute-they make me think of the skater look back when I was in middle school (yah that was a loooong time ago ;)These boots are awesome. Definetly not a summer boot and have not worn them enough to give a long term review yet but very comfortable out of the box. I have a narrow foot and these lace up and fit well. Unlike the Keen womens explore mud waterproof boot, this Keen style did not have one foot much more narrow than the other. I have had this ussue with several Keen boots but not this style. Maybe Leen finally fixed the shoe mould problem or maybe it was just certain styles or factories.I will post an update about waterproofing and durability once I wear them more when it gets fall. I do wish that Keen would make a summer mid or high top leather boot as I never wear anything lower than a mid due to skinny, bony ankles that the standard B or medium width does not slip or rub even with great socks. That is the breaks when you have a super skinny bony ankle. These are comfy, waterproof, and let me hike for hours happily. My new go to hiking boots.I ordered these a half size bigger than my normal shoe size, but they were still too small. I also noticed that the toe box turns inward a little, so if your feet curve inward a little you'll love these. Other than the sizing, these are great little boots. I will probably reorder a whole size bigger when the weather turns cooler.Fit perfectly and we’re comfortable right from the start. Never had any issues with them. Love them very much. The only thing was that they were not very good on ice. Very slippery to walk on any icy surfaces.Parfait pour randonnéeSuper Schuh, der genau das leistet was er verspricht.Würde ich immer wieder kaufen.Sabine OpheesVery happy with keen shoes never disappoint me
