Dithered over Merrels and decided that since my last pair of those cost £90 and fell apart, I'd go for some leather shoes instead.These seem (out of the box) like a well made shoe. The leather is pliable and will give where my feet need a quarter inch more space near the toe. I would normally buy a 43 but went for the 44's to give me a tad more width where I need it. The ankle seems snug and nicely cushioned and the insert is fine.I came from years wearing barefoot type shoes (minimal sole) so it will take a while to adjust to a full outdoor shoe, but these seem well made and hopefully will last 5 years, unlike the Merrels that barely made it 5 months!Simple styling, no gimmicks or frills. Would work in the class or in the hills.Overall, a promising start. If they are durable I will not update this post.
