I normally like Salomon shoes, but they tend to discontinue models frequently, so I'm always looking for a model that works for me. The XA Wild shoe fits and provides sufficient support with a different insole. I gave 4 start, but would actually have given it 3-1/2 stars if I could. I'd deduct half a star because I have to buy an insole for it, half a star because it makes noise when walking (sounds like something crackling), and half a star because I hate Salomon's lacing system. If you like Salomon shoes and their lacing system, these are good shoes for trail walking. They provide good ankle support while being pretty light weight.It's my new favorite durable all terrain everyday show for my mom of wildboys life. Totally gonna start collecting more from this brand.This shoe is exactly what I expected and got. I’ve worn Solomons as my go to shoe for years now and love the support they give my arches but also the tread to avoid slipping or sliding on gravel etc.Works great for stabilizing my bad feet that have hardware in them. Best shoe for stabilityI've been trying to find a model Salomon no longer makes. The XA PRO 3D Trail Running shoe (size 7.5). I'm 66 years old and walk quite a bit.... (trail hiking, road, and local paths) this model has a higher fit around the ankle for support along with all the other great features. The newer models no longer have the hight around the ankle. Amazon has been great with me trying several models and sadly having to return them. Still looking!If these hold up over time, I'll be surprised. The materials used seem flimsy & cheap.Love the color and look of this hiking shoe, but it is a plastic (must be water proof) and every time I walk makes a squeak. Was out of town and was planning to return them. But left my other hiking shoes in my rental car. So had to wear them, comfortable but totally squeaky.materials used too hard for my feet and it hurtsFirst off I love Salomon shoes, I've been wearing them at work for nearly ten years now.Usually I buy them in the stores after trying them on and I regret not doing this but had difficulty accessing stores during covid.I purchased these for working-out at home and used them a handful of times in July. They didn't feel right and my foot was slipping inside and both feet were sore after 15 minutes of use.I tried them for work, once again really sore feet after a short use. Traveling, sore feet and made loud squishy noises when walking over wet cement, flooring and concrete flooring.I didn't realize until I had worn them several times that, lol they weren't even the same shoes I had ordered. But after already waiting for them for weeks, after a failed delivery attempt; I was willing to keep this pair because they were atleast the correct size.So two stars because the company that sold them were quick to send me out a new pair after the first were returned "undeliverable". And I do like the new design of the tongue that has a slip that hides the drawstring. It makes it cleaner looking and it never falls out like with older versions.Looks like it's too late for a return or exchange...Des bons sneakers tout terrainGreat shoe but according to Amazon product is water resistant and it isn't.
