This is the best fitting shoe I have ever gotten from Xero’s shoes. I have a low volume foot. So I prefer a shoe that will be snug at the forefoot. The lacing system accommodates my foot very well. I also inserted an extra Xero insole from of my other xero shoes and the fit is perfect and the shoe is very comfortable to hike with. of course if you have a wide foot this is a good shoe.as for hiking performance, the sole has very good grip and with the snug fit, I feel very stable on the trails.I have two other pairs of zero drop wide toe box hiking shoes from a competitor and much prefer these Xero’s. However, being a low top shoe and only water resistant as opposed to water proof, I most likely will wear these for spring, summer, and fall.Great shoe, comfortable, light weight, andappears to be very sturdy.
