These shoes are great for hiking and water sports And for everyday wear. I am actually buying another pair! The reason I put "somewhat large" on the fit was that I normally wear a 9, but the 8.5 fit perfectly. This is actually the second pair of these shoes i purchased. The first were for me; the second for my 90-year-old grandmother. I bought them because I wanted a full-coverage shoe for summer and camping that were waterproof (for walking into the ocean or traversing creeks, etc.). As it turns out, I LOVE these shoes. I wear them all the time; they are so comfortable. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is that, even thought they are mesh and have openings, my feet still sweat in them (probably because of all the waterproof materials. So, I usually wear them with mini socks.Because they are easy to pull on and take off, have good support, and have the pull elastic to tighten (instead of laces), I bought my grandmother a pair and she loves them. Who knew that these would be great shoes for an elderly woman?I had a similar pair that I really liked and they wore out. This shoe has a neoprene band around the top that I guess makes it stay on in water but irritates the back of my ankle so I’m not sure I will wear them much. It wasn’t really visible in the imageLike but don’t love. I thought they would be more comfortable. These are my favorite water shoes ever! They fit and feel like a normal tennis shoes, but they’re obviously made for water. I use them for work because I’m constantly standing in and out of saltwater. One pair usually lasts me about 2 years. That’s FANTASTIC considering I wear them 40 hours a week year round. They’re well made in my opinion and I want these to be in stock forever ??Great pair of water shoes with sturdy grips. Used these to hike the Narrows in Zion and they held up wonderfully.I typically wear a 7 (my feet are 9.25"). The 7's were huge so got these in a 6.5. they fit almost too closely so I was worried they'd chafe on my bare feet and jam by toes but I wore them on a short 4 mile hike yesterday and all day for errands a few day ago and they stayed comfortable the whole time. Best of all, this particular style has short "walls" up the sides preventing pebbles to get through. They're very light weight, decent traction and dry fast. Looking forward to an upcoming hike with multiple stream crossing and not having to change my shoes!I bought these shoes prior to a family trip to Costa Rica. I was looking for something that would protect from snakes, rocks, bugs, etc, but would still allow me to wade through rivers and waterfalls. These shoes worked perfectly! I was able to comfortably wear them for almost all my hikes without any major issues. I did start to develop a blister on one foot after day 6 of wearing these shoes, but they would definitely worked great until then. I'm not sure if it was the shoe or the extreme humidity of where I was staying, but the shoes did take a little bit of time to dry after being fully submerged in water. Overall, they fit as expected and worked extremely well for my Costa Rica hikes.I did not like the fact that they didn’t have traditional shoe laces. Once they are on they fit just fine but they are too tight at the top and very hard to get on need a shoe horn now every time I wear them. Will get a different style next timeGreat quality, lightweight, comfortable and let my feet breathe during long shifts at the hospital. Couldn't ask for anything better!
