I am 5.5 but usually wear 6 for running shoes. I bought 6 and found it a tad roomy which is ok as I expect to wear thick socks for hiking. This pair of shoes are lightweight mailing it possible to wear in the city. Will report back on waterproof performance after I wear them to hike. My only complaint is that the sole is bit hard.
