Nice fitting shoe. Looks great. Excellent support for fairly flat foot. Great gripe from sole but sole wore out quicker than expected from a high dollar good name brand shoe. MyAsci's sole in the Contend 8 held up much better and was very comfortable, but that shoe didn't feel as stable as Merrell.Bought these for hiking moderate to rugged trails The fit is comfortable. However, Caution : I’m flat footed this shoe has a moderate arch support. I Initially thought to return because of slight discomfort. So happy I didn’t.. Broke in on walking trail and the shoe molded well to my fit. I now wear them on all my hikes. Love them. Will wait to experience how well they wear and sustain their shape. If durable will probably purchase another pair but a higher ankle type for winter.I was on a mission to find the "perfect" shoe. I needed something that would stand up to a lot of abuse in unforgiving environments. I specifically did not want a waterproof shoe as I needed excellent breathability due to frequent extended wear (>24hr at a time). Something tough as nails but comfortable enough for intercontinental flights. I looked closely at dozens of different shoes from every vendor in this space. Bought around 5 or 6 different ones (thanks Amazon try before you buy). This shoe was hands down the best in all categories. Super comfortable. Breathable and cool in even the most uncomfortable climate and the longest of extended wear. Incredibly tough and confidence inspiring in the roughest environment. The only thing I don't care for is the loop lace eyelets. They will wear out before anything else on the shoes. I wish standard grommet eyelets were used, but I'm willing to live with it and just go easy on lace ups. You won't be disappointed in this shoe. Note: It runs about a half-size small (order a half-size larger than you normally would).Excellent comfort and great price point. I bought the shoe right before going on a weeklong hike through glacier national Park. I broke the shoe in in the first couple of days and experienced zero discomfort. The shoes are comfortable and durable. Very happy with this product.Great show for hiking. Comfortable and great! Highly recommend.Bought these as a replacement to a worn out Merrell pair that I loved to wear for the past 3 years. These are NOT near as comfortable on my feet walking as the last pair or the many Merrell pairs that I have bought over the past decade. I will most likely give up and purchase a different model/style to try.I wore these for about three weeks prior to my hiking trip to ensure I would have no tight spots or rubbing.I hiked around the South Eastern Sierra in these shoes and also to the top of Mt Whitney and back. I had no issues at all. Lots of wear left.Very solid shoe.Muy buen zapatoSo the shoes themselves are great; comfortable, study and keep my feet warm... well unless they get wet... then my socks get wet and my feet get cold (not good for long walks). I didn't find this out until I wore them and now I can't return them. Thinking they were waterproof as the Amazon search I entered was "waterproof walking shoes". So when these came up, I didn't think to read the whole description I expected the results to show 'waterproof' shoes. This is the reason for the 2 stars, the shoes are fine, but they should not appear in a search for 'waterproof walking shoes'. Very disappointed in Amazon for allowing this. Search terms need to be improved!Bought a pair sized 11.5 and they looked and felt much smaller in all directions. If you have feet like Cinderella they might fit you. The uppers don't look durable and look a bit girly but if you are only wearing them to the ball and you need be home before midnight that won't matter.At first i thought they were waterproof but they are not. I ordered theseboots on 12/1/21 and started wearing them at start of Feb. As you can see the still have plenty of wear on the sole but the inside of the heal is trashed. Now uncomfortable to wear. the other boot is worn but not as bad.Merrell are my goto brand for walking shoes - they're always comfortable from first wearing - these shoes were no exception.I was expecting a higher level of waterproofness - these Moabs are not for use in wet weather.Great fit and fit to wear straight out of the box. For personal comfort I changed the insoles as I found the vent holes pinched the sole of my feet after a hours walking. The shoe looks good and fits well.
